Health Habits

We all know we should be brushing our teeth, but there is so much more to consider when it comes to good oral hygiene habits that nurture our mouth’s microbiome.
Oral hygiene is all about trying to shift the bacterial load of ‘bad’ bacteria and target where they accumulate. Dental plaque is the sticky biofilm that attaches to our teeth, accumulating these types of bacteria that are the driving force behind tooth decay and gum disease. However, we want to nurture the good bacteria that benefit our oral health at the same time, to maintain the happy balance. We want to mechanically remove the dental plaque and bad bacteria from our mouths, without disrupting the good bacteria.
